Java-based Volunteer Grid Architecture

چکیده
Grid Architecture coordinates the sharing of resources and allows for collaboration of often heterogeneous equipment that is geographically distributed. While research grids provide needed services, volunteer-based grids promise greater processing power provided that the overhead, availability, and heterogeneity of the resources are manageable. JAVA-based applets provide quick installation across heterogeneous platforms and are well placed to speed the transition to grid computing.
